Canadiens Announce One-Year Contract For Xhekaj, Four-Year Extension For Newhook

Defenseman Arber Xhekaj has agreed to a one-year, $1.5-million contract to stick with the Canadiens for the 2026-27 season, and forward Alex Newhook has signed a four-year, $22-million extension ($5.5 million AAV), the team announced Tuesday .
