Kole Lind to attend Lightning training camp on PTO

Unrestricted free agent forward Kole Lind will join the Tampa Bay Lightning for their 2026 training camp on a professional tryout opportunity (PTO), the club announced Friday afternoon.

Lind, 27, spent the last two seasons in the Dallas Stars organization, playing exclusively with their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. The 6’1″, right-handed forward appeared in 70 games with Texas in the 2025-26 regular season, collecting 11 goals and 35 points; he added two goals in five playoff contests with the club.

Lightning’s Victor Hedman discusses mental health: ‘It is OK not to be OK’

Victor Hedman took a personal leave late last season to focus on his mental health.

Now, the Tampa Bay Lightning star defenceman is speaking up about some of the strides he's made.

In an interview with NHL.com 's Dan Rosen, Hedman said he has been working regularly with his longtime therapist and is feeling "super motivated" heading into the season.

"A lot of great support," Hedman, 35, said. "I was super flattered by that."

Maple Leafs add Nick Paul from Lightning in deal for Dennis Hildeby

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning have executed another trade.

Forward Nick Paul is headed north of the border in exchange for goalie Dennis Hildeby , a 2027 fourth-round draft pick and a 2028 third-rounder, the teams announced on Wednesday.

Paul, of Mississauga, Ont., returns home after five seasons with the Lightning. His production dipped amid injury last season when he tallied just seven goals and eight assists over 51 games.

However, the left winger put up at least 15 goals in each of his prior three seasons with the Bolts.
