Bystedt, 22, has four goals and eight points through eight games with the Barracuda to start the 2026-27 AHL regular season. The Sharks originally selected the six-foot-three, left-shot center in the first round (No. 27 overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Gaudette had initially missed game action due to an upper-body injury he had at the start of training camp. He did not play any preseason games, and began the regular season on non-roster injured reserve, but was activated after four games. He has since missed the previous seven games as a healthy scratch.

When speaking to the media in Quebec City, Canada head coach Kori Cheverie revealed that goaltender Corinne Schroeder suffered an off-ice injury during warmups prior to the team’s scrimmage on Wednesday night.
Cheverie added that forward Julia Gosling and her cousin, defender Nicole Gosling, weren’t medically cleared to participate in any of the games this week, as both are dealing with injuries.
