from Sportsnet,
The NHL announced a new 12-year French-language broadcast arrangement in Canada, with TVA Sports securing rights through a sub-licensing agreement between Rogers Communications Inc. and Quebecor Inc.
The agreement was announced on Thursday, less than a month before the 2025-26 season begins.
Under the agreement, TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct will air up to 350 regular-season games per season including 32 of the Montreal Canadiens’ contests, up from 22 last season, while retaining the exclusive French-language rights for Habs playoff games.
Amazon’s Prime Video will stream seven Canadiens regular-season games in French next season, the Amazon and the NHL announced Wednesday.
