It’s been clear since mid-September, when this group convened for the start of training camp, and for those of us around the team regularly, it’s been reinforced daily since: for all the on-ice issues that might remain, the roster shortcomings that still need addressing, there is no doubting that off the ice, in the room, there’s a different feeling around these Maple Leafs this season. A different energy.
