Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar awaiting childbirth, out against Stars

The Colorado Avalanche defenceman is out Tuesday against the Dallas Stars as his wife is due to give birth, a team spokesman told reporters .
Makar, 27, holds three goals and four assists in five games this season. The two-time Norris Trophy winner has played at least 75 games in three of the last four campaigns.
