Devils submit offer sheet for Mammoth’s Barrett Hayton

The Devils have submitted an offer sheet for centre Barrett Hayton from the Utah Mammoth , per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman .

If the Mammoth don't match it, they will receive a second-round pick as compensation.

Hayton, 26, recorded 10 goals and 15 assists in 67 games last season

Over 358 career NHL games, the restricted free agent from Peterborough, Ont., has posted 155 points (65 goals and 90 assists).
