Flames are off to a stunningly bad start
from TSN,
The Calgary Flames are winless through the first week of the regular season, losing by scores of 6-1, 4-1 and 6-1. The games have been every bit as ugly as the box scores indicate.
Expectations were low to start the year in Calgary – in fact, no team had longer odds to win the Stanley Cup this season than Ryan Huska’s Flames. And for good reason. This is an organization deep in the throes of a rebuild, one that is thinking more about next year’s draft lottery than sneaking into a wild-card berth.
