Kevin Hayes Calls It a Career

A change of scenery, even a big one across a continent, could not revive Kevin Hayes ‘ career. The big forward announced his retirement on Monday.

Hayes, 34, spent what would become his final two NHL seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was a popular figure in the locker room but last season had a difficult time finding his way into the lineup. He appeared in just 28 games, with four goals and eight points. He had 13 goals and 23 points in 64 games the previous season.
