Bruins' Jacobs steps down as chairman of NHL Board of Governors after 19 years

Nearly 20 years after beginning his tenure as the chairman of the NHL Board of Governors, Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs is stepping down.
He will be succeeded by Ted Leonsis, Governor of the Washington Capitals and chairman of Monumental Spors and Entertainment, who was chosen unanimously to serve. Calgary Flames Governor Murray Edwards will take on the role of vice-chair of the Board.
