Oilers notes: Buchburger back behind the AHL bench in San Diego

The former Oilers captain, who had the C from 1995 to 1999, with Doug Weight as his assistant for all four years, played more than 1,279 NHL games through 16 seasons, 860 with the Oilers. He continued his coaching odyssey this week, signing on as Dave Manson’s assistant with the up-and-coming Anaheim Ducks’ AHL farm team in San Diego.
