Canucks deal forward Nils Hoglander to Predators for third-round pick
from Sportsnet,
Vancouver traded the Swedish forward to the Nashville Predators on Monday in exchange for a 2029 third-round draft pick.
Hoglander, 25, struggled in 38 games last season, recording just two goals and three assists.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2023-24 campaign when he scored 24 goals while adding 12 assists, but has been unable to replicate those heights.
“We would like to thank Nils for his time in Vancouver, and we wish him the best with his new team Nashville,” Canucks general manager Ryan Johnson said in a statement. “Picking up another draft pick is important for us as we continue to try and accumulate assets for our rebuild.”
