Senators, Xavier Bourgault settle in arbitration

The two sides agreed on a new one-year deal after reaching an arbitration settlement, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on Thursday.

Bourgault, 23, is set to earn $850,000 at the NHL level and $265,000 in the AHL.

The L'islet, Que., native was the 22nd-overall pick of the 2021 draft by the Edmonton Oilers, and was traded to Ottawa in the summer of 2024.

He made his NHL regular-season debut with the Senators last season, playing in two games for a total of 11:55 of time on ice. He logged three shots on goal and three hits in that span.
