Prospect Eddie Genborg reportedly looked like himself in a Swedish Hockey League preseason game, and that constitutes news in this bizarre summer of Detroit Red Wings discontent.

Genborg has been recovering from an undisclosed injury suffered in the AHL playoffs. The expectation was that he would be ready to play for Timra IK by the start of the SHL regular season on Sept. 19. His preseason appearance confirms his readiness. He is not attending Detroit’s training camp.
