Florida Panthers Lifer Aaron Ekblad gets Franchise Record He Does Not Want

SUNRISE — It has been over 12 years since the Florida Panthers used the first overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft on defenseman Aaron Ekblad .

Ekblad, then a clean shaven 18-year-old, was surrounded on stage between late team president Bill Torrey and former director of scouting Scott Luce , put the home-red Panthers jersey on for the first time.
