Flyers place Owen Tippett on injured reserve

On Monday, the Philadelphia Flyers placed forward Owen Tippett on injured reserve. In response, the team called up forward Jacob Gaucher from its American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Tippett was last seen in the lineup last Thursday, when the Flyers visited the Detroit Red Wings . It isn’t clear whether the 27-year-old was hurt during the team’s 2-1 loss, as he played the entire game, logging 15:36 of ice time and posting a -1 plus/minus.
