Nazem Kadri spent most of his summer preparing for the upcoming season in many of the same ways he has throughout his career.

With Nathan MacKinnon, Brock Nelson, Fedor Svechkov, and potentially Nic Roy also in the center mix, and the Avalanche having lost Valeri Nichushkin and Ross Colton from their forward group, Kadri could be asked to spend more time on the wing. So he put extra work into preparing for that possibility.
