So, just imagine the situation had 24-year-old Dylan Garand been claimed on waivers late last month. With Garand no longer waiver-exempt , the club had to put him on the wire in order for him to get the starter’s gig with the Hartford Wolf Pack. A handful of goalies were ultimately claimed; Garand avoided that fate. He even signed a lease on an apartment in Hartford – only to be summoned back to the Big Apple before playing a single AHL game.”
