Former 7th rounder Finnie named DSM’s Red Wings rookie of year

Emmitt Finnie played all 82 games last season as a rookie, mostly on the top line, and produced 13 goals and 30 points.

Not bad for a player selected 201st overall in 2023 (seventh round).

That’s why Finnie was named the 2025-26 Detroit Red Wings rookie of the year by the Detroit Sports Media (DSM).
