Mikael Granlund was named captain of the Anaheim Ducks on Sept. 22. He is the most recent player to be named to the position. The announcement came six days after Drew Doughty was named captain of the Los Angeles Kings on Sept. 16. Connor Bedard was named captain of the Chicago Blackhawks on Sept. 15, and Bo Horvat was named captain of the New York Islanders on Sept. 14.
