Seamus Casey Injured: Devils Defenseman Leaves Game vs. Rangers

MANHATTAN — Seamus Casey did not come back out for the third period Thursday at Madison Square Garden with the New Jersey Devils .

The 22-year-old Devils defenseman left during the second of New Jersey’s third preseason game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury. He had been defending in his own end when he collided with a New York skater. He stayed on the bench for a bit after that, but left the second period before it was over. He did not reemerge for the third period.
