CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. — Another brief absence by Evgeni Malkin appears ready to end, but coach Dan Muse is prepared to make at least one change to the forward lines .
Malkin, 40, who engaged in a heavy workout following the morning skate Tuesday, was inserted onto the second line with center Ben Kindel and winger Egor Chinakhov for a regular shift during drills.
