Devils Contingency Plan Ready for Senators as Evangelista Battles Illness
from New Jersey Hockey Now, by James Nichols,
The New Jersey Devils enter tonight’s matchup against the Ottawa Senators with a couple of lingering health questions hanging over the forward group.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe acknowledged that Luke Evangelista — absent from Monday’s morning skate — has not been feeling well, noting that a few players are currently under the weather. Keefe offered a measured assessment of the situation, saying the club is optimistic at this point that Evangelista will be able to suit up against the Senators.
