As hosts of the third installment of the IIHF Women’s Asia Championship in Sapporo, Team Japan comfortably repeated its success from the tournament’s two previous years. After a 6-0 win over China in front of 1,260 fans at Tsukisamu Gymnasium on Sunday, Japan locked up first place and earned with a perfect 3-0-0-0 record, outscoring its opponents 15-0 in the round-robin event.
