Heading into the championship game of the 2026 International Para Hockey Cup, the U.S. had outscored its opponents 30-5 across four wins. That included an 11-1 win over Team World in the semifinals.

The Americans skated well early against Canada before dropping a 5-1 decision in the championship game of the in Nymburk, Czechia, on Oct. 24.
